Conceptualization not contextualization

Gordon Cheng / 11th April 2008 / Ministry

John Piper has quite a useful blog post on the subject of ‘Preaching As Concept Creation, Not Just Contextualization’. In plain language, that means that, in our Bible preaching and teaching, we should demand that human minds adapt themselves to the word of God by the power of the Spirit, and not the other way around! Piper gives a number of useful examples of what he means, so go over and have a read.
